The King’s Kitchen – A Ministry of Trinity Tabernacle
‘Helping the homeless and addicted in Bristol’

The King’s Kitchen is not only about feeding people, up to 160 breakfasts on Tuesday  mornings, but helping them change from a disruptive lifestyle. We try to express the unconditional love that Christ shows us through being there for people, to listen to them, to help them with advice (welfare, benefits, housing and addiction treatment). We also provide companionship and support. Most of the help given can be termed ‘first aid’, but we network with many other agencies in order to refer people.

So much of our work is about providing stability for those whose lives are chaotic and without foundation by talking about the love of God, bringing comfort in their distress and finding a way to be alongside them so that they don’t feel alone. The King’s Kitchen is part of (Bcan) Bristol Christian Action Network and helps deliver training with the Crisis Centre to volunteers from various churches in the Bristol Area.

UCB Prayerline

TrinityTabernacle has recently become a satellite in Bristol for the UCB Telephone Prayerline. There are 9 satellites altogether in churches in Northern Ireland, Liverpool, Scotland and Grimsby and other churches are now showing a definite interest.

This is currently being advertised in UCB’s ‘Word for Today’ by Bob Gass. The Lord is putting his hand on certain people and drawing them into this ministry.

There are many people ringing in, believers and unbelievers, with really desperate needs asking for a listening ear and prayerful support. This is also a wonderful opportunity to lead people to faith in Christ.

We at Trinity have invited other churches to join with us in this ministry and this is a good  opportunity to have fellowship with each other and pray together and support each other.

Since starting around 8 weeks ago we have found this a real blessing to us, and our team of people is growing all the time! We have been very encouraged by people ringing in and praising God for answered prayer.

Supervisor
